Quick Easy Healthy Meals That Is Easy to Cook

If you are on a diet or trying to lose weight, you should learn about some quick easy healthy meals. They will not only help you stick to your diet, but they will also make eating in restaurants more enjoyable. When I was just starting my diet, I made “normal” meals that consisted of something healthy like fish, eggs, and chicken. After a while I decided that I wanted to try something different.

An Overview

I knew that fruits and vegetables were a good choice for my diet, so I decided to make a meal plan that consisted of at least one piece of fruit per day. Because I was going to be eating a lot of fish, this meant that I would need to add some protein to my diet as well. I decided to make a few quick easy healthy meals that would include some fish, baked potato, some carrots, and green beans. By the way, did you know that beans are actually good for you? You can add them to all kinds of meals without them ever really affecting the flavor or your health in any way.

The next meal, I decided to create was going to consist of baked potatoes. I found this very beneficial because I didn’t have much vegetable time during the day. Plus the added protein from the fish fried in the skillet gave me extra energy. You can usually find these at any grocery store and at most health food stores.

Steak Meals

My last quick easy healthy meals consisted of three quarters of a pound of steak. I had always preferred white meat, but decided that this would be a mistake. Since I was going to be creating a stew, I chose beef. Although I normally don’t like to eat beef, this was a very good choice since it was lower in fat than pork, which is what most people prefer.

Another thing I learned about quick easy healthy meals is that they don’t have to be boring. In fact, you can vary your meal combinations and make them fun. For example, if you are having leftovers, you could make a stew out of it. Or you could add some broccoli to the meat to make a meat and potatoes meal.

Fruit Diet

For desserts, you can’t go wrong with fresh fruit. You can use strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, peaches or whatever fruits you prefer. They are easy to prepare and taste great. However, if you choose not to use fruit, you can always try something like eggs or yogurt for a good alternative.

For the main course for this meal, I opted for a fish dinner. Although I usually avoid eating fish on weekdays, this was one of the days that I had enough. I chose steamed white fish with vegetables as a side dish. It was very tasty and easy to prepare, which is why I usually have it served to me when I come home from work.

Conclusion

The trick is to know what is healthy for you and how much of it you should include in your daily diet. If you eat lots of red meat and fat, then that’s not a good idea. On the other hand, if you have plenty of vegetables, cooked meats and dairy, then this is probably the meal for you. You can easily adjust these meal options to be more nutritious and delicious by using different types of spices and ingredients. The key is to find quick easy healthy meals that taste good and provide you with vitamins and nutrients you need.
